The Doux de Coly was first dived in the 1960's but
there is not a lot of information about these dives.
- 1970: Over a series of five dives, P Debras reached 365
m in the cave, reaching a depth of 52 m. This was just down the shaft,
around the corner, right at the beginning of the deep section.
- 1981: The Swiss GLPS dived 1760 m from the entrance.
They were the frist to use scooters in this cave.
- 1983: They reached 2100 m and later 3100 m. They started
to use semi-closed rebreathers and were joined by the british CDG.
- 1991 to 1998: While the exploration in 1991 reached
4055 m, the progess in 1998 was small to 4300 m.
- 2001/2002: Michael Waldbrenner, Reinhard Buchaly and their team reached
a distance of 5000 m in 2001, and extended the cave to 5675 m in 2002.
