One of the playgrounds of the EKPP.
It's August 2003, time for the third EKPP-project at the Doux de Coly.
After the six "short" weekend projects at the Gourneyras and Goul de Pont earlier this year, the team planed these project for one week, with the option for another week.
The plans and preparations for the Doux de Coly-project were done very quickly and easily, because of the experience from the last two years.
Beside the exploration of the cave Doux de Coly, surveying of the cave was the other big goal of the project.
In the year 2003 a lot of new DIR divers joined the different projects of the EKPP and some of them have become members of the EKPP, others are on the right way and will be members of the EKPP very soon.

More than 20 EKPP members and DIR divers wanted to be a part of the Doux de Coly-project 2003.
18 divers from six different European countries joined the project:
- Silvia Rieser, Viktor Horvath and Alex Braun from Austria.
- Gertjan Verhoef, Jiles Verhoef and Wido Langemheen from the Netherlands.
- Peter Fjelsten from Danmark.
- Hervé Deschamps from France.
- Ian Pinkstone from the United Kingdom.
- Ralph Wilhelm, Götz Bräutigam, Andy Wagenknecht, Deniz Gürsoy, Thomas Schädler, Tom Karch, Michael Waldbrenner, Reinhard Buchaly und Michael "Brus" Brusdeilins from Germany.
Hanging around in the shade was a very common activity during high noon and we had a lot of fun.
But due to the fact that the cave is located on private land, the owner lives in the house at the pool and other logistical reasons, the number of participants was limited.
During the whole week, the weather was hot, very hot. No rain, no clouds. The temperature was over 40 degrees Celsius in the shade! The diving started in the morning hours, when the temperature was around a "nice" 25 degree Celsius.
Between the dives or for the "none divers" of the day, the big pavilion was a popular meeting point.
Due to the high temperatures and a long period of no rain, flow in the cave and the water level in the pool was very low.
The pool was full of very fine sediments and after the first teams went into the water, the vis was really bad in the pool.
To find the entrance of the cave and for safety, a team installed a line from the scooter parking place to the entrance.

15 participants stayed in the beautiful chalets of "La Grande Prade". The holiday park was only 2 km away from the cave.
In the line with our tradition, we got in contact with the local officials. We met the mayor of Coly and his wife for dinner in the restaurant of "La Grande Prade".
Hervé did all the translation and explained our activities to the mayor and his wife. The mayor was very interested and he is looking forward to seeing the results of our survey.
Ian, Peter, Ralph and his girlfriend Jasmine stayed in the "guest house" 20 meters away from the pool of the cave.
A part of the "guest house" was also used as a storing place for diving-equipment.

The hot weather and the luxury in the "La Grande Prade" forced us to special places for the activities. Our first choice: The evening briefing in the pool :-)
The perfect team, the nice "La Grande Prade" and a lot of beautiful cave dives made a perfect week for us.
