Latest update: October 7, 2007
After the brutal sabotage in the spring this year, the team once again prepares to extend exploration at the Source de Vis. Goal is to continue laying line and surveying the cave. Expectations are high as Reinhard Buchaly is joined for the first time by Markus Schieritz who will be the second push-diver. This time we came prepared, prepared to guard the cave with manpower and electronic devices, and prepared with a high level of motivation to get the job done this time.
JP and Anne-Marie arrived Thursday evening and decided to walk to the cave and check the conditions before the rest of the group would arrive, they found excellent visibility, hardly no flow and a water level which was just a bit lower then last time. By sms they reported their findings to the rest of the team.
The team meets at the camping ground were Reinhard gives his briefing. We decide to transport all the equipment for the push divers first to the cave and take a lunch while Reinhard and Markus prepare their gear. After that all support gear will be moved and setup divers Joerg & JP will do the in-water setup and placement for all the equipment needed by the push-divers. At night the cave is guarded by some members.
Reinhards briefing in the early morning.
Reinhard and Markus leave early in the morning. After three hours a first team consisting of Hoffi and Torsten leave to see if they have returned. It took them three checks to finally meet the pushdivers at 36 meters depth and receive a note stating: Everything ok and line added….. Some drinks were brought and Jutta and JP went in the water to get the last gear out and take some pictures. After an impressive seven hours Reinhard and Markus surfaced, satisfied with the 300 meters of new line. Jp and Jutta stayed in the water to take apart the rebreathers. Most of the gear was out of the cave by the beginning of the evening and the team ended the day with a well deserved meal and debriefing by Markus in a nice restaurant.

Early in the morning the team meets at the cave to remove the last items and say goodbye. All in all this was a very successful project, good spirit, good team work, good results, everything being a team is all about.
