Beside the cave Doux de Coly, the Gourneyras was one of the favorite projects of the EKPP. Since the cave is located in a valley more than 20 minutes away from the nearest paved road and 100 m below a small track at the ground of a steep face, the projects are a logistical challenge.
Within the last year, the team learned to live with these logistical problems. A lot of the city slickers in the team loved the 4 days in the wilderness.
The project dives in the last year got us to explore the cave up to 2,2 km and the team was really motivated to push the end of the line.
But everything went in the wrong direction during this project...
